400 University Avenue is Now Wired Certified Gold

Crown Property Management Inc. is pleased to announce that 400 University Avenue is now Wired Certified Gold. This certification gives tenants an enhanced digital experience throughout the building with best in class service and connectivity features. As a Wired Certified Gold building, 400 University is fully equipped with numerous connectivity benefits, such as:

• A choice of 6 service providers which offer high speed connectivity (fibre or fixed wireless).
• Available capacity for additional service providers and service provider equipment.
• Free Wi-Fi in common and amenity areas throughout the building.
• Multiple communications points of entry which gives tenants the ability to utilize diverse connections.
• A secure and dedicated area for service provider equipment.
• A standard Telecom License Agreement that is used to streamline the right of entry process for new carriers entering the building.

In pursuing Wired Certification Crown worked in tandem with WiredScore to review and implement upgrades to the digital and fibre optic infrastructure within the building. 400 University Avenue underwent a meticulous certification process conducted by a team of leading telecommunication technicians. Upon completion of an on-site audit which evaluated the building’s number of available internet service providers, infrastructure redundancy, connection access points, and readiness to improve connectivity, a Wired Certified Gold level was assigned based on the official standards developed by WiredScore and its advisory board.

At the beginning of the year Crown began the Wired accreditation process for buildings across its portfolio. To date, 50% of Crown’s portfolio is now Wiredscore certified.‍
