Celebrating International Women’s Day by Supporting Women in Need

At Crown, we take pride in fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. With 57% of our senior leadership team and 56% of management represented by women, we are committed to empowering female leaders and advocating for gender equality. This International Women’s Day, we took a moment to pause, reflect, and give back to the community by supporting women and children in need.

On March 6th, members of our team volunteered at Yellow Brick House, a local organization dedicated to supporting women and children escaping domestic violence. This marks another meaningful chapter in our ongoing partnership with Yellow Brick House. In 2023, we contributed by gardening to create a welcoming outdoor space for their residents. This year, we helped in their shelter, organizing donations for the residents. Our efforts are driven by a shared belief that everyone deserves a safe and supportive environment to rebuild their lives.

In addition to our work with Yellow Brick House, Crown is proud to support Interval House of Ottawa, a vital organization providing shelter, counseling, and essential resources to women and children fleeing violence. Since 1976, Interval House has been a beacon of hope for survivors, offering them a safe space and the support needed to rebuild their lives. Their programs focus on breaking the cycle of abuse, fostering independence, and empowering women to create brighter futures for themselves and their families.

Taking Action for Lasting Change

Crown is committed to continuing our support for Yellow Brick House, Interval House and the invaluable services they provide to women and children in desperate need of assistance. In 2025, we will maintain our dedication to this cause through volunteer initiatives and charitable donations.

Join Us in Making a Difference
As part of our commitment, Crown has introduced a matching program to Yellow Brick House and Interval House during the month of March. Contributions will directly support critical services, including emergency shelter, counseling, and resources that help women and children rebuild their lives free from violence.
